Gordon Walton Obituary

Gordon Garriott Walton, 100, of Moline, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Allure of the Quad Cities, Moline. He will be laid to rest at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Gordon was born September 9, 1923, in Sac City, IA, the son of Nellie S. and Howard Fay Walton. Gordon married Josefine Hendrich and she preceded in death on May 8, 2022. He had five children, Kitty, DeEtta, Nannette, Daniela, Peter, Dan and the late Mike. Gordon was a World War II Veteran, serving in the US Navy and had been employed at Geifman Food Stores as a manager, retiring in 1986 after 37 years.
